FC St. Pauli have bolstered their goalkeeper team with the addition of Eric Oelschlägel, 29, who played for Dutch second-division club FC Emmen until the summer and was out of contract.

FC St. Pauli have extended Eric Smith's contract for a second time after director of sport Andreas Bornemann and the defensive leader reached agreement over a continuation of the successful association.

FC St. Pauli were handed an away tie at Leipzig when the draw for the second round of the DFB Cup was made at the German Football Museum in Dortmund on Sunday evening. The game will take place on either Tuesday, 29 October or Wednesday, 30 October, with the precise time to be announced by the DFB in due course.
