ALBERS AND SINANI FIRE BOYS IN BROWN TO LEAGUE TITLE
FC St. Pauli won 2-1 at Wehen Wiesbaden on the final day of the 2023/24 season to secure the second-division title. The Boys in Brown were the better team from the off, but it was Wiesbaden who led at the break thanks to an 11th minute strike from Franko Kovačević. Substitute Andreas Albers levelled the scores shortly after the restart before fellow sub Danel Sinani struck eight minutes from time to give his side the decisive edge in the championship race over Holstein Kiel, who won 2-1 at Hannover 96.

BOYS IN BROWN BACK IN THE BUNDESLIGA AFTER 3-1 WIN OVER OSNABRÜCK!
Job done! FC St. Pauli are back in the Bundesliga after a gap of 13 years thanks to a more than deserved 3-1 home win over VfL Osnabrück on Sunday afternoon. Oladapo Afolayan set his side on the road to victory in the 7th minute in front of an ecstatic full house before second-half goals from Afolayan and Marcel Hartel kicked off a jubilant promotion party at the Millerntor. A late Lars Kehl penalty for the visitors almost went unnoticed among the celebrations.
