Head coach Fabian Hürzeler: "We defended well with two exceptions. We failed to keep a clean sheet and we failed to add a second goal, so we have to live with the point. Osnabrück went all-in. They had to win here at home, and they wanted to give the crowd something. It was a heated atmosphere. They started winning the tackles and then it's hard to hold your own here. Despite that we had our chances in the second half and were unable to take them. Demanding that the players cope with the pressure better is easier said than done because in moments like these the opposition have a lot of players on you and throw everyone forward. My team handle pressure well and try to come up with footballing solutions even then. It's a pleasure to work with the group. There are lots of points and details we have to go over and improve."

Hauke Wahl: "We gave Osnabrück few chances. They had two good ones – one produced an outstanding save from Niko, the other went in. In contrast, we had several opportunities and should have put the game to bed in the first half. At some point we couldn't keep hold of the ball anymore. We won possession and then gave it away again too cheaply. We were sloppy and didn't win the tackles. We knew exactly what we were up against. We have to accept responsibility for these things. Every game is important for us and we've wasted too many opportunities in the last few games."

Jackson Irvine: "I think it's a fair result in the end. Osnabrück were the better team in the second half. We didn't hold the ball up well and weren't consistent enough in the final third. Osnabrück were a different side after the restart and won more tackles. We have to deal with that better in future. We created good chances when we won the duels. We can learn a lot from this evening."

Johannes Eggestein: "We let the game slip in the second half. We knew it wouldn't be easy on that pitch, but we coped with it better in the first half. The Osnabrück fans urged their team forward and in the end we have to take the blame for not adding a second goal to settle it. We simply didn't play well today. Osnabrück kept winning the second balls and that got the crowd going and we surrendered the initiative a bit. We've dropped too many points with all the draws this season. I hope we do better in the second half of the season, and we have another chance now against Wiesbaden."

Marcel Hartel: "Unfortunately, we failed to build on our lead again despite having good opportunities to do so. Osnabrück pressed us bravely in the second half, you have to say, and on a difficult pitch we failed to come up with good footballing solutions. That's not an excuse, we had good opportunities to regain our lead. In the end, though, you have to say we're not losing games like these, though we also could have won some of the draws. We'll analyse the second half closely and then go flat out again in a week's time."

Uwe Koschinat (Osnabrück coach): "We played the best team in the league, a team who have lots of answers on the pitch. We made the worst possible start from a set piece, and you could see we were unsettled. We played with lots of passion but lacked conviction and our play was too fragmented. The best thing about it was that we were only 1-0 down at half-time. We managed to get forward more from the 50^th minute and the equaliser was a huge relief for the team. The crowd were right behind us then and everyone sensed we were giving our all. We took a point off the league's best team, and we can be proud of that."
