FC St. Pauli

Favé und Hürzeler began their spell at the Millerntor along with head coach Timo Schultz at the beginning of the 2020/21 season. The two assistant coaches are an integral part of first-team operations and also responsible for the individual work with players.

Director of sport Andreas Bornemann: "We deliberately set out to chart a new course with this coaching arrangement two years ago and the progress of the squad as a whole and of individual players has fully confirmed the correctness of our decision. Loïc and Fabian have been a major factor in this development with their work on and off the pitch, so it was clear to us that we wanted to continue our association. We're delighted to have made it a reality now."

Head coach Timo Schultz: "It's no secret that I'm a huge admirer of Fabi and Loïc's work. In the last two seasons they have not only progressed the team but also learned a lot themselves. All in all, they have more than met our expectations. They showed just how important to us when I had to miss a few games due to Covid. We have big plans at FC St. Pauli and so I'm delighted they will remain by my side."

Assistant coach Loïc Favé: "I'm delighted to remain a part of Timo's team. We're a very good fit here, both professionally and personally. Fabi and I enjoy a lot of trust and freedom at FC St. Pauli. It's so much fun to work with the players on their development because they show a lot of openness and willingness to learn."

Assistant coach Fabian Hürzeler: "The last two years have been very exciting and instructive. I've really enjoyed working with the team, even when things haven't been going so well. It's important to me that our opinion is valued and we're able to make an active contribution with our strengths and ideas, so it's great to be able to continue our association beyond the end of this season."
