EVENING OF DEBUTS ENDS IN 1-1 DRAW
FC St. Pauli began the 2019-20 season with a 1-1 draw at Arminia Bielefeld in front of 23,000 fans at the SchücoArena. Debut boy Christian Conteh opened the scoring in the 32nd minute, only for Manuel Prietl to head a late equaliser from a corner.

After VfB Stuttgart and Hannover 96 got the ball rolling on Friday, Arminia Bielefeld and FC St. Pauli complete the opening round of matches in the new second division season on Monday evening (2030 CET). No easy task for Jos Luhukay's men.

Change of ends | #fcspgoesusa 2019 | The US tour documentary
After successfully touring the United States in 2018, the Boys in Brown returned to North America this year, stopping off in New York, Buffalo, Toronto and Lynchburg along the way. The itinerary included games against New York Cosmos and FC Buffalo as well as visits to the German Consulate General and the East River Bar, the home of the East River Pirates. During the tour, the FC St. Pauli delegation was accompanied at every stage by a film team. It now gives us great pleasure to present the result – have fun watching the tour documentary!

FC St. Pauli revamps management structure
FC St. Pauli is breaking new ground with the establishment of a more contemporary management structure. Responsibility for financial, organisational and social affairs will be shared across multiple shoulders in future rather than being concentrated in an overarching general manager. Accordingly, the position occupied by the soon-to-depart Andreas Rettig will be broken down into four new director level roles with effect from 1 August 2019 in the following areas: operations, marketing, sales and corporate social responsibility (CSR).

The Boys in Brown secured a 1-1 draw at SC Heerenveen on Saturday afternoon in the final warm-up game before the start of the new season. Hicham Faik gave the home side a second-minute lead before Dimitrios Diamantakos restored parity on 63.
