WAHL: "NOTHING CAN TAKE THE PLACE OF WINNING"
The Boys in Brown secured their third win on the bounce against Paderborn on Sunday. After an impressive first half showing they took a two-goal lead straight after the restart but wobbled slightly when Paderborn pulled one back. The visitors were then reduced to ten and the Hürzeler XI saw the game out to claim a deserved victory, though the consensus in the camp is that the second half will need some analysing.

HARTEL ELEGANCE AND RITZKA POWER SECURE 2-1 WIN OVER PADERBORN
FC St. Pauli beat Paderborn 2-1 on Sunday to secure another three points at the start of their eight-match end-of-season run-in. Marcel Hartel gave his side a deserved 32nd minute lead before added a second Lars Ritzka straight after the restart. Adriano Grimaldi pulled one back for the visitors on 56 but was later sent off for a second bookable. A man to the good, the Boys in Brown saw the game out comfortably to seal a deserved victory.

FC St. Pauli have elected to continue their association with Adam Dźwigała. Director of sport Andreas Bornemann has agreed terms with the 28-year-old defender on an extension of his current contract, which was due to expire this summer.

VICTORY FOR IRVINE AND METCALFE IN WORLD CUP QUALIFIER - EURO EXIT FOR VASILJ, METS AND SINANI
The six EURO 2024 play-off semi-finals took place on Thursday evening. For Greece and Manolis Saliakas the dream of qualifying for Germany lives on, but Nikola Vasilj's Bosnia and Herzegovina and Karol Mets's Estonia were both knocked out, as were Luxembourg and Danel Sinani. Elsewhere, Jackson Irvine and Connor Metcalfe helped Australia make it three wins out of three in World Cup qualifying, while Aljoscha Kemlein and Eric da Silva Moreira have also enjoyed success in Germany colours.
