EXTRA-TIME EGGESTEIN HEADER SEES BOYS IN BROWN THROUGH TO ROUND OF 16
FC St. Pauli beat FC Schalke 04 by the odd goal in three after extra-time in the second round of the DFB Cup on Tuesday evening. Marcin Kamiński headed the visitors into a 16th minute lead that was cancelled out by Marcel Hartel from the spot on 57. It went to extra-time and Johannes Eggestein booked his side a place in the Round of 16 with a header.

FC St. Pauli came from behind to beat Karlsruher SC 2-1 in front of 29,125 spectators at the Millerntor on Saturday afternoon. Old boy Igor Matanović gave the visitors a half-time lead, but the Boys in Brown got their reward for a barnstorming home performance with late goals from Johannes Eggestein and Philipp Treu.

BOYS IN BROWN STAY TOP AFTER 2-2 DRAW AT PADERBORN
FC St. Pauli drew 1-1 at SC Paderborn 07 in front of a sell-out 15,000 crowd at the Home Deluxe Arena on Saturday afternoon. Florent Muslija opened the scoring for the home side early on with a brilliant effort from 55 metres. Johannes Eggestein levelled the scores just after the restart before Jackson Irvine completed the comeback 12 minutes from time, only for Filip Bilbija to restore parity soon after. While the Boys in Brown were unable to make it five wins on the bounce, they are still unbeaten and stay top of the table.
